All Gender A Cappella since 1996.
The BU Treblemakers were formed in 1996 around three fundamental ideals: fun, love, and music. Since then, generations of Trebs have rallied around these values to become Boston University’s most irresistible all gender a cappella group.
Over the years, many generations of Trebs have participated in producing nine studio albums and three EPs, most recently: “Afterglow,” which is now streaming on all platforms. Trebs have curated many live music videos on their YouTube channel, marrying their infectious energy and musicality for all to view.
The Treblemakers have performed at hundreds of gigs all around the Boston area and are available for hire under our booking tab! Whether it's an office party, a high school concert, or a charity fundraiser, the Trebs would love to come round out your event.
Today, the group is known for its diverse repertoire, energetic performances, talented soloists, and innovative arrangements. The Trebs have also competed multiple times in the ICCAs (the competition in the Pitch Perfect movie!), most recently placing 1st in the 2023 Northeast Quarterfinals. Most recently, the Trebs have expanded their path to Los Angeles, CA to perform in the Los Angeles A Cappella Festival (LAAF) Community showcase, participate in master classes with professional musicians, and receive feedback from trained judges.
